Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Fatal Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his close associates.
Healing from Light Wounds
The boxer had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, his promoter confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.
“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.
Remembering the Victims
Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the passing of his two dear friends.”
