More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt able to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has passed that I can now articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced spending more time together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the film, adding that he doesn't recollect "one day without joy".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a separate piece, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles court official agreed to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A court order issued a security hold on the investigation to limit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a record citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

Following the tragedy, public individuals shared different comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing provocative statements that were widely condemned by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his voice to the detractors recently. Speaking on his program, Rogan labeled the comments as "disappointing" and implied they showed a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an associate could have stepped in when the choice to weigh in on the passing was made.
